Electrolysis
During electrolysis, a small surgical-steel filament is inserted into the follicle
where a brief electrical impulse is then applied. The current cauterizes the
hair root, releasing the hair and allowing it to be easily lifted from the
follicle.
Numerous regular sessions are required to completely seal off all follicles
at a site so they never produce hair again. This can take months or years depending
on the denseness of hair and activity of the follicles.
Electrolysis is a highly skilled and very personal service. We found that as
the company got large, it became impossible to maintain quality of care in
a consistent way. All former New-Tech electrolysis locations are now owner-operated
as individual offices (phone #s remain the same) and many of our former staff
are practicing independently.

"For several years, I had kept my plucking habit a secret and felt guilty
and paranoid sneaking around to do it. Thank you very much for giving
me my freedom back."
